A truck carrying 3,400kg (7,500lb) of hagfish overturned, spilling them and their secretions all over the road and nearby vehicles on an Oregon highway.
Hagfish ( colloquially known as “slime eels” ) have skulls but no jaw or spine and produce slime through glands on their sides when stressed.
